Pazner’s History
In 1952, Saul Pazner founded Pazner Scrap Metal Ltd.
Lawrence and Barbara both worked with their father (Saul) throughout the 70s, 80s, and 90s while completing their schooling. During this time Lawrence spent countless hours advancing his knowledge of metals. Barbara learned the business side – accounting, customs, and customer service.
In October of 1996 Lawrence and Barbara founded Pazner Environmental. They started handling scrap metal for a few local companies. The business started to evolve eventually turning to recycling post-industrial scrap plastic. Over the years the business started to grow, and they found a need to open a processing facility.
In 2002 Can-Am Recycling was founded. At this time, Can-Am opened their doors to their first processing facility. This is when the company made the leap of deciding to handle only post-industrial scrap plastic.
Since the first processing facility opened in 2002, Can-Am has grown to a three-location operation. The company deals in a wide variety of scrap plastics, regrinds, and resins.
